((This is not a roleplay thread, instead it describes in detail the area the board covers for quick reference! If something during a roleplay happens that changes how this area is presented/seen to others, post a reply to this thread with the change!)
After a long journey of trekking, whether on foot, by Pegasus, or an unfortunate ride on the Chariot of Damnation, you’ve finally made up to the top of Half Blood Hill, to this strange address. Farm Road 3.141, Long Island, New York 11954. Huge white pillars tower either side of you forming an archway over your head. Greek letters are carved into its marble that, for some odd reason, forms discernible words. ‘Camp Half Blood’.
Further along the hill there is a large pine tree, with an invisible magic that borders along the perimeter of the camp designed to keep monsters, mortals, and bad weather out. The tree stands mostly alone besides the large, copper-scaled and snake-headed dragon that is curled around it. His yellow eyes glint at any passerbys, and he looks at you with a look that seems to ask ‘friend or foe?’
From the side you came, you see the small log cabin that is Dean’s home a short ways away from the entrance with a small path connecting the two together. Eyes peer out at you through the trees. There seems to be a lot of satyrs and nymphs restlessly milling around Dean’s cabin.
Further along there is rolling countryside and a single road cutting through farmland and further into Long Island.
On the other side is the real view, though. The camp unfolds beneath you. The hills dip down into a vast clearing, interrupted only by a large forest at a far corner before it becomes a part of Long Island Sound. A river snakes right through the middle of the clearing, which forms a lake and then a creek before also reaching the beach at the far end of camp. Rows and rows of ripe strawberry fields grow past the river. A strange assortment of buildings make up the rest of the clearing, some make this place reminiscent of a regular camp while others look peculiar and outlandish. The closest one to you is a large blue building known as the Big House.
What will you do next?
